We were the only campers in the campground. Enjoyed the company of bald eagles and deer. Restrooms well kept. We did not encounter any park staff. Value was excellent, $10 for an electric site.

Round Spring is a good campground, but as always with a campground near a highway, there is highway noise. The flood of November 3, 2024 caused damage only down at the lower sites and the river access in the campground. However, at the spring parking lot the flooding had covered the pavilion, the restroom, and left a think layer of mud in the parking lot. Fortunately, in the campground the restroom/shower house is high enough that it did not experience flood damages. The showers and restroom are generally well maintained and nice to use.

When we arrived there was a trailer in our camp site with so sign of the tow vehicle. The. Camp Host was nowhere to be found. We drove up the hill until we could get cell phone coverage and called Recreation.gov and they told us to call a Park Ranger. We finally found a Ranger who said he would work on it and get back to us. After not hearing back for 3 hours we decided to camp at Echo Bluff. We did get a call that the Ranger had located the owner of the trailer around 6:30. We had already set up camp so we stayed there. It was a bad start not knowing when the situation would be resolved. Thanks for refunding our fee.

We stayed at Round Springs Monday and Tuesday night since Alley was flooded and didnt open until Wednesday. It was an enjoyable stay.We came back for the opening day of the cave tour on June 2. Everyone treated us really well.

The critters are crafty so put your food and trash away before bed.
