Nicely kept park. Cant swim anywhere there. National Park Service invested $ millions in renovations for CCC lodge and cottages which were finished two years ago AND NOT OPENED. It was VERY hot for our August visit. Swimming would have been nice. Travelled to Alley Springs Mill.very well kept and beautiful.

While the campground is well maintained as far as mowing, the campsites that are listed as full shade are far from it. Also, the flies are insane. It would be nice if the campground would spray the area before summer season started. Also, in all the campsites I saw the fire ring was located on the backside of the camper pull in, which means you have to go all the way around the camper to get inside. I have never been to a sight that didnt have the fire ring on the same side as the camper doors. Also note that even though you are a short distance to the current river you do not have view of it. The cell service was spotty but better than some we have been to. The hot showers and the rest rooms were clean and very well maintained. Probably wouldnt return simply because we know there are other camp sights that have real river access.

Liked the location next to Current River. Overall great. Park needs some work to lodge, shower house and other facilities before they deteriorate further.

Very nice campground, you can tell it is older because it is hard to fit todays size campers in some of the spots. Made for the small campers. It was clean and taken care of. We were there Columbus weekend so quiet for the most part.
