Great location to camp. If you don't want to cook or bring foods, Eminence has a half dozen locations to dine. We ended up floating the Current. Used Carr's Canoe Rental. Carr's is about 18 miles north of Alley Spring. If you wish to float the Jack's Fork you could hire Wendy's or Harvey's to float.

This is a beautiful park. The restrooms were clean and tidy. The campsite was very comfortable and clean. The Mill is only a short 2 minutes drive away. You can also get to lots of other interesting sites as well - Rocky Falls, Klepzig Mill, as well as the various Wild Horse herds. The small town of Eminence is just a short drive away and has anything you might need as well as a few restaurants. We really enjoyed our camping at this park.

We go every spring and fall, however, the campground needs updating badly. It needs another loop with electricity and water, and 600 loop needs sewer hookups, which should be an easy addition to the way the loop is set up. Also, the restroom in 600 loop needs heat and remodeling or to be torn down and made more like the new one in loop 400. More people would go there if there were more electric sites as it gets too hot to be without AC in the summer which is why my family and friends will not go there in most of June, July, or August. One more thing, the rangers don't stand their ground, they let the obnoxious drunks walk all over them. Families can't go on weekends, only from Sunday thru Thursday.

Very clean campground, great facilities, well maintained everything. Layout was great and provided lots of room at our site and lots of areas to bike.Campsite was well marked and easy to navigate/park. Dump station worked good and water/electric hookup was great in the 600 ring.Plenty of things to do nearby, whether NPS or MO state parks. Eminence is nearby and has everything you need. There is no cell phone coverage here for ATT, but an emergency phone is available at the front of the park.
