When I booked the site (314) I expected to have a view of the river. Sadly there was a line of brush preventing that view. As someone with IBS was thankful being next to the bathrooms. The Fire pit on this site is on the wrong side. If you face your tent towards the river it will be behind you. There was no sign indicating the 300 loop. The site sign was missing a number, as a first time visitor I had to check other sites to make sure I was on the right one. Shower nozzles, are more like water guns with no spray pattern. ALso this site is listed as unattended, but there was staff and Rangers everywhere. It was a decent weekend, the only disappointment being the lack of a river view.

River access is good, rock/sand bar across the road/bridge is much larger and less crowded. The Rangers were all friendly, offered good insight to the general area and history. Dont forget to go check out the spring and mill house!
