Nice campground. We had site 57, close to bathrooms/shower. Hosts very nice, friendly, helpful people. Water was high during our visit, some sites closed because underwater.

We really liked this campground. The site (57) we had was amazing, close to bathrooms/ showers and playground. The only negative is the water pressure could have been better in the showers and there were wasps in the upper area of playground equipment.

We enjoyed our stay, however a few weeks before we were to visit we were notified that we wouldn't have sewer available at our site. That posed a problem of having to watch our water use. We did receive a $2 a night refund but would rather have had access to sewer. Also the grass around the campsites was very tall.
The camp host as well as the park rangers were very friendly!

I have been coming to Big M for years- was always my favorite. The hosts this year are the worst. We checked in Friday afternoon - actually 3 of us checked in with separate vehicles and we were hassled about which sites (we had 2 side by side) and were told by the host which vehicle HAD to be where. I understand the Rv's being on the correct site but not the additional cars. I was also questioned about my golden pass and needed to show it to him to verify the number ( I have never had this questioned)Then Saturday about 12-1 the host came over to everyone at the lake and told them this was a no swimming area. Interestingly, the park patrol has driven by earlier at least twice and nothing said- we had been down there since 8am. Why were we not told when we checked in? and why did he wait til that late to come around and tell people? Why are there no signs at the lake stating this?We have reservations for Labor Day but if we can find another place, we will not be back until these hosts are gone. They were there last year and we had issues with ice chests being stolen, but we have never had a problem in the previous 5 years we have been camping there.
