3 stars. It has potential. The water was really low so fishing from the bank was unsuccessful - no fault of the park but mother nature. It's a nice and beautiful campground with level concreted spots and also has a dump at each site which is a plus. There are a couple of things I would change, though. 1. Have firewood available for campers to purchases. 2. Put trash dumps closer to the campsites. Had to hold on to all our trash until we left because we didn't bring a vehicle. The dumpsters are way up toward the gate.

We stayed in site #40. Concrete pad very level and plenty of room for our 40' Class A with a tow vehicle. We stayed for 2 weeks and wish we could have stayed longer. Very pretty views of the lake and plenty of grass to walk our dog. No issues with the 50amp, water or sewer hookups while we were there.You must try the Catfish Hut, they have more than just seafood. They are less than 5 minutes from the campground. I wish we had found it sooner than we did.

Nice size lots with FHU. Very nice views of the lake. Most sites were back in. Very clean park.Well worth the visit and do plan on returning.

The campgrounds are always well kept and the grandkids love the playground. The lake view and trees are beautiful and it is a short drive to Batesville for restaurants and supplies. We love coming to Persimmon Hill.

I wish I could have stayed longer than one night, but I was just passing through. The place was immaculate. Grounds were neatly mowed, concrete site pads were super nice and the lake looked sooo inviting. I hope to return some day and spend more time here. Great campground!

We love the campground. Good walking, the fishing on the lake is fantastic and the people are friendly.
