We had a spot with great views that felt private. Beautiful lake for paddle boarding.

Its a very beautiful lake but it was difficult to enjoy it because the camp host Adrian ran his very loud generator all day long. When I asked him to turn it off so we could eat dinner in peace he screamed at me and said he could run it from 6am to 10pm. Then he threatened me and said hed call the sheriff if I didnt go back to my campsite. Other campers also asked him for just an hour relief and he refused. This man is not capable of being a camp host and is very unbalanced.

Camping in the middle of the week in September is a quiet peaceful experience. Mist on the water early in the morning is always a bonus and a great photography opportunity. I always warn people I meet NOT to tell their friends about this campground... Let's keep a a secret!

Loved the campsite, well maintained and clean. Lack of potable water was not an irreversible problem. Never saw the camp host but frequently heard the generator.

Our experience was excellent. We had perfect weather, the lake was beautiful and we met some awesome new friends. Learned more about the surrounding areas and appreciated the beautiful scenery. The overall cleanliness of the campground, restroom and campsites was excellent. Our favorite campground by far.

Always love camping and kayaking at Hahns Peak Lake. But it would be great if someone could figure out a way to keep the flies out of the bathrooms.

We absolutely love this campground! This was our third year returning. This year we brought a hummingbird feeder and boy did it not disappoint! Within 20 minutes they had found us and the number doubled by the next day to 8-9 enjoying the feast. Upside: no need to bring firewood as you can drive up the road and collect plenty of firewood (maybe bring starter). You are barely out of cell coverage but you can hike or paddle to the dam and get service as needed. Downside: no working water wells on site but you can drive to Steamboat Lake State Park and fill up your jugs.

Restrooms could use draining and more frequent checking as one ran out of TP.Afraid to promote it as it don't want it to get too busy. Fishing and wi,life viewing was good

New camp host this year. Saw them maybe once in 2 days, but reservation postings did seem to be updated. Would be nice if firewood was available at this location, but overall it's an incredibly beautiful campground.

We love Hahns lake! Great place to SUP and hike! But the addition of sheep to mitigate fire is a noise that I needed to get used to, plus our campsite in the woods, I was surprised by the high turn over of one night stays around us. Im used to coming in and people stay for a couple of nights. So that was interesting. All in all we would stay here again.

This is by far the best camp ground Ive ever stayed at in Colorado. The access to the lake is excellent, camp ground space is plentiful, nice fire rings, quiet, secluded, and green!

I love HP Lake and the sites are nicely spread out. The CG is remote so its nice and quiet during the week. There is no potable water on site so you need to travel with full tanks or fill up at Steamboat Lake SP. Love that it is a no wake lake, great for paddlers.

Beautiful views, less crowded and more trees than Steamboat Campground. Love the walk around the lakes. Large sites that can fit multiple people and cars.

Overall we had a very good experience here, loved the lake and plan to come back. It was close enough to Steamboat that we went to town and enjoyed walking around and seeing the sites. We missed seeing other sties due to rain on our only full day there. There were some issues with the site. We were in Site 14. Not sure why, but this site and site 15 are not listed on the campground map in Rec.gov, but we took a chance. It was less than 50ft from the vault toilets. The smell from the toilets was a issue at times. The site was fine, but there were grasses almost 2 ft tall and there were many, many thistle plants all over the site. This was especially an issue on the tent pad, so much so that we had to remove many plants before we could pitch the tent. This site had different levels with stairs. The second step on the stairs to the tent pad was missing the front edge. This resulted in a fall the first time down them. The overgrown state of the site and the lack of repair on the stairs are issues that need to be addressed. Not having it on the campground map showing its proximity to the vault toilets should also be corrected.

Camp host Stephanie was great! Hahns Peak has the lake and a trail to hike around it making it a well rounded spot.

Beautiful campground. Quaint and lovely. Very clean and spacing between sites was awesome. Lots of wooded spots and some non-wooded. We really loved our stay with our kids and dogs.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
