Excellent place to camp. Does mean driving to scenic areas.

Quiet and plenty of space. Bathrooms clean. The creek nearby is nice for a birdy bath or cleaning dishes, but cold!! Lots of deadfall to use for firewood but youll need a hefty axe or saw. The host was present but not needed during my stay. No complaints and better than expected.

This was an OK place to sleep, but not to spend more time in as a campground. Our rating would be a little higher if we had been able to secure one of the very few shaded campsites but, unfortunately, they were already reserved, and most of the campsites are very exposed. In addition, our next-door-neighbor sites had been reserved by a very large, and very loud, extended family gathering. Both the above factors led to our simply sleeping in the campground for two nights, and driving with our cooking gear to a picnic area 20 minutes away to prepare and eat our meals. The campground was clean, and otherwise well-kept. The 20-25 minute away scenery and hiking are phenomenal; we chose this campground only because it was the closest one to the Snowy Range that had reservable sites.
