Revere Beach is one of the area's most popular locations for beachside camping, with opportunities for swimming, picnicking, and scenic walks along the shore. Middlesex Fells Reservation offers several campgrounds surrounded by woodlands and trails for hiking and cycling, offering a more natural escape from the city. Walden Pond State Reservation, located nearby, provides historic and peaceful camping, ideal for both tent and RV camping. Lynn Woods Reservation also offers remote, primitive campsites with plenty of hiking, wildlife watching, and exploration. Whether you prefer the sound of waves crashing or the quiet of the forest, Revere offers a range of camping options close to both nature and city attractions.

Barnes Field Campground is located in the Androscoggin Ranger District, White Mountain National Forest (1 hr 38 min west of Lewiston, ME) with an elevation of 1,286 feet. There are a total of 11 campsites including 4 tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. 7 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $45.00 per night. Activities include hiking trails.
