Great location--beautiful sunsets and on a clear night the stars are amazing. We spent a lot of time at the beach right down the road, saw seals on most days and even in late September were able to get in the water. There are some good trails with nice views you can reach right from the road that leads to the house. Also always like the Audubon sanctuary in Wellfleet, both Mac's restaurants and the Blue Heron gallery in Wellfleet Center. The Flying Fish has good pizza and the PB Boulangeries is wonderful--authentic French pastries and food. Our favorite ocean beach is Lecount Hollow right down the road from the boulangerie and we love biking on the bike path and along Ocean View drive down to Newcomb Hollow Beach.

This place is a gorgeous quiet refuge. A neat, well equipped travel back in time to old Cape Cod. The dirt road is a bit rough(better to bring a vehicle with good clearance) but the cottage is on a hilltop with only 2 others in view. Extremely relaxing, beach is a 5 min walk and you can walk forever on it in either direction. A perfect old fashioned Cape retreat!

Well-equipped house with a scenic and adventurous 0.7-mile access road, which may be challenging for non high-clearance vehicles. Just three houses are nearby on the way to the beach. A great natural setting close to the charming village of Wellfleet.

Great location and view. Kitchen is well supplied with dishes etc although you need to bring everything else (condiments, oil, spices, etc.) We enjoyed having an outdoor shower and being so close to the beach.

Beautiful view from this comfortable house on a hill over looking CC Bay. Clean and well stocked with items you need to cook. Don’t let the drive in deter you as it’s a great spot. Epic mosquitos this year but hey, it can’t be helped

The house was lovely, clean and well stocked. The view and breezes outstanding. As mentioned in other posts, the location is a bit remote and the last mile is on an unpaved single lane road so you need to drive slowly. Ten minutes to main road. The mosquitoes were fierce, especially after a rainstorm. Come prepared!

We loved this house. Pristine, well equipped, and surrounded by 360 degree views of the ocean and marsh- there is nothing to complain about, except maybe the mosquitos. It’s out a long dirt road so you feel as though you’re in the middle of nowhere, which was perfect for us.
Bay View House was so lovely - a fabulous view, breeze on the back screened porch, and very clean and well-appointed kitchen. To note: (1) no wifi but yes for cell data. (2) The road in is passable for our vehicles (Golf & Fit) but was offered a sense of adventure - as noted in the listing low clearance vehicles will have trouble.
Restaurant recommendations: Moby Dick's seafood, The Bookstore on Kendrick Street, Public Cafe in Chatham. Activities: Mini Golf at the Drive In, White Cedar Swamp at Marconi Station. We also attended the tours of the Atwood Higgins House and the Old Harbor Life-Saving Station Museum at Race Point.
Loved this well-appointed cottage. Nice walking distance to the beach with killer views. The deck and screened-in porch were put to good use for meals and family card games. We really appreciated the good condition of the cottage, the books and games, as well as the peace and quiet. Can't wait to return!

The house is very clean and well stocked. It is miles off the main road. Very quiet and remote area. The home is located on a hill. The beach is quite a walk from the house. Perfect place for a quiet vacation with beautiful views. Not sure it is suitable for small children or toddlers.
The house was very clean with beautiful views. It is well stocked with kitchen items. We were there during a very hot spell and while the house was hot without air conditioning, the bay breezes were very nice. The house is very quiet in a large forested area. We will definitely come back for our family vacation!
