Things to do... Chop wood, nap, read, ride ATVs, hike in the nearby prairies, bird watch, etc. Nearby Gooseberry Reservoir has some decent fishing, kayaking and canoeing but not much for swimming for the kids. Beware, there are leaches and the fisherman are not nice if kids are playing nearby. Zero cell service across multiple networks = bliss. Some ATVs passing on nearby roads were annoyingly loud so recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
Ultimately, remember that you’re paying 50 bucks for a cabin with electricity, flushing toilets, hot water, beds, etc. It’s no Grand America but I’d still rather stay here regardless. Our family had a great time and we would go back again.
