There is not a vault toilet near the camp. You have to go up to the main road and use that toilet. Considering it is a group site you would think that a toilet would be close. That is my only complaint...minus the bugs but that is how it goes.

Spectacular country. Great campsite for multiple campers in our group.

We had reserved this group site because of the large fire pit with the picnic tables etc., which the picture depicts. What isn't stated here or when you arrive (except for some non-descriptive brown markers with no writing on them) is that no campers, cars, ATVs etc. can be parked near or remotely close to that table because the Forrest Service has marked it as an area in recovery. So all of our group with campers had to be parked on the other side of the grove of trees, not even close to the tables & fire pit which made meal time tricky. Would be more practical to just move the tables to the other fire pit on the other side of the site.

The other downside with this site is that it's very close to a heavily traveled road (also hard to tell from the map) so there is traffic non-stop from ATVs & campers.

It is close to several reservoirs and lots of ATV trails.
