while there are vault toilets, they are nearly a mile from some of the campsites making it very inconvenient

My family has been going Camping the first week of August for the last twenty years. The fresh air, rain and beautiful scenery is well worth the six-hour drive! The beautiful lakes and the trails are second to none. Can't wait for next August!

Every year on the first weekend in August, we reunite families from Nevada and Utah to camp for four nights. The fishing, hiking and trail riding is amazing. The view of the mountains and lakes is breath taking. Every day we see Deer and plenty of wildlife. My favorite is to fly fish the stream from Electric lake and to fish, Mammoth lake and Millers flat. There is everything there for children and Adults. We set up a volleyball net, play cornhole and horse shoes. At night sitting by the campfire roasting marshmallows for the smores. My favorite place to go every year!
