Absolutely stunning campsite! A welcome and cool reprieve from the desert. This campsite is very remote and takes about 40 minutes to get to from the main road (mostly dirt road, uphill). Would not recommend arriving at night as it will be quite dark with no street lights. Still, a hugely worthwhile campsite - not to miss!

Beautiful and well kept campground high up in the La Sal Mountains. Bathrooms were very clean and well maintained. We will definitely stay again and spend more time hiking the area. In our campsite, several deer would approach us at night while we were sitting at the campfire. Lots of deer in the evenings and during the night. Also, lots of cows in the area so be prepared to wake to the sound of mooing cows, and the occasional elk bugle. One thing to note, we camped in early September and didn't encounter bugs as one might anticipate being so close to the lake. The only drawback for us was the campground was approximately 1.25hrs from Moab and while a good portion of the road is paved from town, the last 7 miles are gravel and washboarding is bad in some places. A very scenic campground in an amazing area of the Manti-La Sal Nations Forest.

The views, the trails, the sites all beautiful. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a water source.

This is the best campsite for beauty and temperature and quality. We didn’t realize that there was no water anywhere in this campground however... a family leaving gave us their water and we were extremely grateful. The road to the campsite was also a bit terrifying -we being from Minnesota where gravel roads are smooth and wide 🙃... oh, and water is plentiful. Honestly the best campsite for us, though. Temps in Moab were in the 100’s, temps in the campground were in the 70’s. We felt blessed. Loved the trails and the cows!
We saw Arches and Canyonlands in the morning and were in the campground by the afternoon.
Loved it.
