The camp ground was clean and welcoming, restrooms were, as always clean, well stocked and no flies, which is a plus, the only down side to the campgrounds, is that there is no drinking water available. Potter's is one of my favorite places to visit.

I drove in late evening. I never saw a sign directing me where to go. The GPS took me to some roads that I wasn't really sure of but I made it. A suggestion would be to put a small solar powered light on the campsite number signs. I enjoyed the gazillion stars very much!!! The park is quiet, which is what I needed after a long flight and drive earlier in the day. I would highly recommend Potter Pond Campsite if you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy nature!!!

My wife and I really enjoy our annual trip to Potter's Ponds. The fishing is always good. Usually pretty quiet and not overcrowded. You do need to pack plenty of water as well as plan on packing out your trash. No dumpsters. Also, the muskrats have a pretty solid presence in both ponds. Don't let your dogs drink the lake water or you could end up treating them for jardia. It's a beautiful place to go. The roads are usually in pretty good shape. We go every year.

Nice camping spot. Far enough away from main road so the dust was at a minimum.

We stayed at Potters Ponds campsite 15 for 2 nights near the middle of July. There's generous space between the campsites. The ponds are a great spot for fishing and canoeing. There's plenty of wildlife. Deer walk through camp each night. There were ducks and geese with their young on the ponds. This year we spotted ghost shrimp near the shore of the east pond. In the past we've also seen wild turkeys nearby. Campsite 15 had more dust than the other sites we've stayed at. Bring your own water. Bring mosquito repellent. This year the mosquitos were only a nuisance during some parts of the day. Some years we've been here there have been sheep and sheepdogs in the canyon. The sheep aren't a problem, but the sheepdogs can be a bit overprotective if you plan to hike up the canyon. The vault toilets were in good condition. A huge set of power lines run through the campsite. Depending on which site you stay in, you may hear crackling from the power lines almost as loud as the nearby river! There are several geocaches nearby . This is a nice quiet, shady spot.

While Potters Pond is a beautiful area, this specific spot, #5, is right next to group spot #6. I didnt realize this and last year it was empty when I was here. This year the group occupying it took it to the next level and since there isnt a camp host or any phone service we couldnt address it. What we hoped would be a relaxing 5 days enjoying the mountains was instead filled with 30+ loud obnoxious people at all hours.Dont get me wrong, we still had a great time camping while we were out riding the beautiful trails in the area or paddling on the pond but being at the actual campsite wasnt pleasant.Not sure if we will be back, but if we do we will either rent the group site ourselves or find one much further away.

Always enjoy our trip up to Potters. Site 11 is right on the road near the lake. Nice but can feel busy on a holiday weekend. The bathroom is not super easy to access from this site and is shared with daytime guests. We never saw a camp hosts but maybe it doesnt have a full time host? We will visit hopefully again.

To many people in area. Camp was inundated with dust due to vehicles not traveling at the posted 5 mph limit.

The restrooms needed work they were not in the best of shape . The area around the fire pit was not usable because of the mud around it. Some feel needs to be brought in so that the water can drain away from that area. We were told that they will be working on grading the area this year to help with the water problem. With that said we love the area.

Potter's Pond is a wonderful place to camp. It has gorgeous scenery! We caught several fish and watched while the fish were restocked. The campsites we were in were spacious and very nice.

Fantastic experience. An absolute gorgeous pond. This was my first time coming here. My mind was blown away by how clean the vault toilets were. Wasn’t even uncomfortable. My only complaint would be calling out the visitors who used our spot before us. Left a ton of plastic in the fire pit. Thankfully I was raised to leave a place cleaner then I arrived.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
