If our site was turned around, we would have rated it higher. I wish we could have swapped sites with campers.

Nice quiet campground. Be aware that if the Green River is high the ferry closes to vehicles with trailers. Would recommend if you want an out of the way campground.

Well kept, huge campsites. Very little light pollution at night.

There is nothing at this camp ground. It’s very overgrown and sites are hard to park in.

The directions around the park to get to the campsite due to not being able to use the ferry added an unnecessary 1.5 hours to our drive time when there was a more direct path coming from the north. I wish we had mapped it ourselves rather than relying on the booking directions. Campsites were really nice and large. Very spaced out. It would be nice if there was a dumping station added to this side of the park as the only one in the whole park is located on the other side of the river which would involve moving the trailer and driving over an hour. We ended up stopping at on the way back home which cost additional funds. $50 a night is a little more on the expensive end as most other RV parks charge that price with all of the amenities.

Maple Springs is a lovely campground with just 7 level sites available - some with water and electric. In this group campground there is plenty of room for several vehicles, tents, campers/rvs. It was generally quiet, There are pit toilets. NO showers. NO dump site. To access the Mammoth Cave Visitor Center and cave tour starts from this campground one needs to drive and take a ferry over the river. BUT RVs and trailers can not go on the ferry. This means a 40 minute drive from the campsite around the west side of the park to the visitor center, camp store, dump station, and tour departure site.

We were the only ones camping in the campground. It was heavenly. The only downside was the ferry was not working so it took us 30 minutes to drive around the the visitors center.
When we could not ride the ferry because we were in a small RV, no one could tell us how to get around to the campground. No attendants at the gate and no information available at the "office". Took us over an hour to navigate to the Maple Springs campground, via our navigation system. Again, no one at the park when we did finally arrive at Maple Springs. Beautiful park, but a little spooky staying there by ourselves...no other camper in sight.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
