We loved our stay at Maple Springs Campgrounds. I loved that it was quiet and felt a little more 'away from it all.' Be aware that getting back and forth into the main park area requires a ferry ride and the hours of operation were not as long as I would have preferred. There are no showers or dump stations on that side, so plan ahead. There are great trails off of the campground or just across the ferry. If you tour the caves, purchase tickets well in advance as we found that several of them sold out quickly.

Ferry was not working and travel to park was over 1.5 hrs. A bridge should be built. Also Park being closed due to shut down wasDetrimental. I dont understand why there are not RV hookups in the park.

Maple Springs Campground was quiet and a little more isolated - which we appreciated. The picnic tables at the sites are made of heavy stone - you cannot move them. We prepared for ticks given the reviews from others but with our preparation I think we were fine - only saw one. I was more worried about all the poison ivy along the edges of backcountry trails. Check your site thoroughly before letting kids/dogs out - we found a bunch of broken glass on the ground.

Love the secluded location and the horse trails were really nice with a mix of fairly easy and somewhat challenging trails. I was disappointed that 3 of the 4 equestrian campsites were taken by people without horses. They can literacy camp at any of the multiple spots but those of us with horses are limited to the 4 horse sites and if those are taken by non-horse people we have no other options. Would really like to see those sites set aside for horse use only.

When we booked the campground, we were traveling and not familiar with the area at all. We knew there were not full hookups, but have never been to a campground before that didn't at least have shower houses if hookups were not available. There was also not a dump station to use unless we drove 50 minutes around the park to get to it, as you could not take campers on the ferry. In the heat and humidity of summer, it would have been nice to be able to take showers. At least we only spent 2 nights there. Lesson learned for sure.

Great area, open, beautiful and good proximity to everything. Sewer hook ups would be nice.

I have always loved going to maple Springs Campground, we have been there every year spring and fall for 6 years. Im glad they put more electric sites in. I love the big sites room for my grand-kids to play. however this year we were a little disappointed, we were on site #1
the 50 Amp electric did not work. we were in our motor home so we kinda needed it. We could not run microwave or air without kicking 30 Amp. i called and left messages but no one contacted me back. i hope the person camping in that site after us did not need a 50 amp.
I will be back but will ensure site is in working order first.

Clean bathrooms (as clean as you can get for outhouse style). Wish Campers could dump into their sewer holding tank. But the campsites are spaced nicely apart. Sites 1-5 are the best. No noise or light pollution. Trails onsite-well maintained. Saw 2 coyotes, 3 turkey, and several deer. Just make sure the green river ferry is open as we used it daily to travel to mammoth park. Will be back!!!

Each site had plenty of space and our kids were able to run around. Nice trails to walk and cycle. Picturesque and quiet.

Since the bridge was closed we had no place to dump our waste tanks. Please consider installing a dump station at Maple Springs so people can empty their tanks.

We really enjoyed our stay at this scenic campground! Not only did our site access to electrical hookup and water, but the pit toilets were incredibly clean. The only drawback was that during our visit river levels were high so the ferry was closed. Instead of a short ferry ride, it was a 45+ minute drive to access our campsite from the park's visitor center.
