Beautiful and spacious campground. Water and electrical was reliable and the loop was recently repaved. There are bathrooms on site (no plumbing) and no bathhouse. We thought the bathrooms were well maintained contrary to other reviews. Good hikes nearby and the drive to the Mammouth Cave visiter center was very short via the ferry. The cave tours are excellent and I highly recommend the extended history tour.

A nice quiet campground.

We had a large camper and had to come in via the dam and got confused and went to mammoth cave horse camp thinking it was affiliated with maple spring cg
The road signs could be more clear. The mammoth Cave horse camp also uses the brown signs like the national park

Beautiful spot with very few people around. Was a quiet and peaceful place.

Wonderful camping site just north of the river. Water and electric hookups make for comfort when further away from the campground. BIG sites provide privacy if wanted and few neighbors make for a quiet stay. Only draw back is that you have to drive the camper around the park to dump. Bring your travel tank to make life easier.

I love mammoth cave. The staff is amazing. And I want to give this trip a good review how ever the camp site was way below standard.

When we arrived there was a large mound of construction sand. The picnic tables had all been removed, which was important to us because I am pregnant and cooking and preparing food for our kids is difficult enough without having to makeshift surfaces. But not only were they removed they weren't removed completely so there were big slabs of concrete with exposed bolts in them as well as a hole ( I assume that's what the sand was for but it hadn't been filled)

Which again with kids it wasn't very comfortable having to worry about them tripping in the hole and smacking their head on the cement or worse with those bolts.

We had booked for four days but only stayed the one night then left. Which again was disappointing because I love this park so much and have visited many times.

I do recommend Mammoth cave. I will absolutely try staying in the campgrounds again. How ever this trip was a big disappointment.

Daffodils were great in spring. Nice semi private spot.
