This is a surprisingly amazing campground in a beautiful wooden setting! The campsites are well equipped, and clean. The camp hosts make their rounds on their golf cart regularly and happy to answer any questions and help out anyway they can. Even the bathrooms are not too unpleasant and cleaned regularly. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Love this Campground. it is in the middle of some beautiful country. Morro Bay to the West and the Rolling hills of SLO to the East. I have stayed here many times and it is quiet and clean.

The website photos and description are extremely deceiving. Almost all campsites are really tent only. You can park a tiny RV/trailer but you will have to hike up a slippery, non-maintained path to get to the table and fire ring. The road is one lane only so pray you do not meet up with someone else going the other way.

These campsites among the oak trees in the steep hills outside of San Luis Obispo is an excellent retreat from the busyness of the towns below. The trails were also well capped and exciting, with lots of opportunity for a mountain biking. The bathrooms were clean, and the campsites were clearly marked.

There is a lot of poison oak all around the camp ground sites and trails. Cleared away from the picnic tables and tent spots but if you have a dog or kids, be careful. Camp host was not open to get firewood until after 10AM.

Awesome campground! Loved the sites at the end of the (narrow) road. Perfect for my 19 foot trailer and pick up truck. Great location near Atascadero, Morro Bay, Pasa Robles, Harmony, and San Luis Obispo. Will definitely come back here.

The campground was lovely, and well maintained, but the camp hosts were unfriendly, and not very helpful. Another thing the web site should note is that some of the camp sites require carrying you gear up a fairly steep incline. I was not prepared for that.

Spot number 14.
This is one of my favorite spots in this campground. Picnic table, fire pit and some seclusion.

Some campsites are hard to reach. I was able to move mine to one with shade. Only one dumpster. It’s in a canyon so all the trails are uphill and pretty steep. Close to town so access is easy.

This campground is great for tent camping, not for RV. We stayed at site #14 but the site is just a parking spot touching the restrooms (we kept our windows closed). If a second RV had parked on site #13, we're not sure we could have open our door! The table and fire ring are 30 yards up the hill. The restrooms were very clean. The host is very attentive and helpful. Few nice hikes from the campground. We had no phone service (Verizon). Conveniently located 20 minutes from Morro Bay.

Website needs to list more details about the sites. I was not aware that I would have to climb a hill to get to the fire ring and picnic table. Luckily my rig is self contained. The area is beautiful and well maintained. Friendly management.

Beautiful spot plus good for birding! Some of the spots are way up the hill from the parking, so if that might be a problem, it would be wise to call first and find out which spots are more on the level.

Site 14 is a hike! Just enough room for two smaller tents though, and a lot of privacy at this spot.
Camp hosts were very friendly, and readily available when needed.

Cool, tiny little campground along the 41 between Morro Bay and Atsacadero. Sites are a different layout than you normally see....in about half the sites, the tent and fire pit area are on a terrace above the parking spot. Of these only a few can accommodate larger RVs and there is very little space to back a large trailer in. Definitely a quiet little place hidden back in the oaks and away from the bustle nearby.

I reserved this camp site after reading someone else's review. I'm really glad that I did because our site was very secluded compared to a lot of other sites. It had two-car parking spot, and it's close to the restroom and water spout. This spot is up on a small hill though. It's nice because we were kind of away and hidden, but it was a lot of work to carry camping gears up and down the hill. However, it was a nice workout. The only thing is that there's no concrete stairs, so some part is a bit slippery and uneven. If you are careful and take your time, then you'll be fine. I would not recommend this specific site for people over 65 and or with certain health issues just because of the uneven walk way going up and down the hill. We were able to fit 3 tents at this site, but one of them was on a slight slope. There were no wild animals that roam around our site except a mouse/rat, but it stayed on the tree. There was also no bear box, so I guess they don't have bears here. We did not hike around the park, but we did see a few different trails.Other notes: I would recommend that you really slow down as you approach the entrance to the campground. If you are to make a right turn into the campground, it is a bit of a sharp turn. If you are to make a left turn into the campground, it could be easy to miss. I don't recall there being a large sign at the entrance, but I could be wrong. I would suggest that you signal and slow down when you're about a couple hundred of feet from reaching the entrance.Once you enter the campground, you'll eventually reach an area where there is a literal tree in the middle of the road. I would also recommend that you drive really slow once you enter the campground because it's a one-car road, and the tree in the middle of the road.I hope this helps. : )

Do not come to this campground if you have anything bigger then a 17ft trailer and even then you better have great driving skills since this is a single lane road in and out. Tent camping looks nice, trailer camping not so much. Trailers strongly NOT Recommended!!!
