Road in/out is single lane, someone has to pull over if they encounter a driver from the opposite direction. Although there was a decent amount of day use traffic, it didn't feel intrusive. Bathroom was out of TP for a couple days. I never saw a ranger come around. All the campsites are fairly shady, ground area for tent was semi grassy. Although it had rained the day before there weren't any puddles. The campground felt very secluded, although the individual sites did not have much separating them from each other. Overall it was a nice campsite with quick access to SLO, Paso Robles, and Morro Bay via car.

Site 10 right next to the bathrooms was terrible. The bathroom smell was horrendous and seems like it attracted extra flies. Positives - quiet, low key, close to the Cerro Alto trail, close to town. Shade arrived late afternoon.

The overall campground was enjoyable, secluded and had a good proximity to woodland and also beach activities (with a little drive). It's a narrow road in, with a handful of turnouts, but there is very little traffic so I didn't need them. The host was friendly. However, I would not recommend site #10 for anyone unless you're desperate to have a bathroom and a dumpster within a couple dozen feet of your campsite. The proximity brought us endless bugs and smells in the summer.

I loved it. It was nice and quite and easy to get too. Had two dogs and 3 adults each in there own tents. Fit us all and and then some.

Love love love this campground. The drive up here is beautiful. There are so many thrift stores and consignment stores. We even made it to the local farmers market during our stay. Absolutely incredible.

Cute campsite. #10 was right by the dumpster and the toilet. Lots of flies and odor.

I camped here 3 nights, 4/6 to 4/8, and had an enjoyable stay at site #11. If you want a bit of privacy from the road that bisects the CG and from other campers choose among sites 11, 12, 13 or 14. From what I could observe nearly every other site was fairly exposed. Things I loved: helpful CG hosts, firewood for sale (I usually collect my own but there was very little deadfall nearby), nice picnic bench and fire ring, pit toilets were relatively clean and well-stocked, TH to the Cerro Alto summit is steps away, proximity to Morro Bay and nearby beaches, and my site was nicely secluded. Don't expect any cell coverage if Verizon is your carrier. Overall this is one of the better CG's I've visited and I camp a lot.

We were right by the bathroom but it was fine. No smell. The park is clean and the hosts are very nice. The hike to the top of the hill is nice but not that well marked.
