Nice area by the river but otherwise there is no running water available; all the spigots have been capped off for some reason. You should at least warn folks about this.

Wheeler George exceeded my expectations. We spent an amazing weekend here. The campground has plenty of natural shade a beautiful creek running through it. No cellphone service so you can really disconnect and just enjoy your stay. They a do a phenomenal job at keeping the campground safe and clean the restrooms were well kept and stocked with plenty toilet paper. There is no running water so come prepared. They do enforce their rules, especially quiet hours which I appreciated a lot. We saw the host driving around the campground at night making sure everything is good and campers had enough wood. I will definitely be back.

A very nice campground. Variety of campsites for all sizes from tent to large RV. Easy to search for available sites when reserving . Most spots are nicely spaced and have shade. Friendly hosts.
No cell service, but close to Ojai for signal, shopping etc. Great hiking and scenic drives nearby.

We have two young kids and the creek holds endless hours of fun for them. If you're in a similar situation I recommend picking a site close to the water and enjoying the hours of exploration and fun. Also a great area to learn about poison oak because there's a lot of it! Mosquitoes are also abound so be prepared. Every camp host we've engaged with has been great... Randy, Shane, Evette... helpful and approachable. Site 71 is close to the road but still awesome and site 18 is a bit rocky but has excellent creek access. Looking forward to trying a site farther up into the loop next time we camp here.
