The location is such a short distance from LA and it makes you feel you are in a totally different world. The Camp is being maintained and kept meticulously clean in daily bases. The staff is very friendly and at the same time very strict about the rules. The campsites are reasonably apart from each other so you have complete privacy. For the past two times we had camped there we have not seen any disturbing act from any of the guests. The stream running through the campground gives it even a nicer feeling, which is kind of rare, especially for us who live in LA and dealing with water shortage all the time. Altogether, this spot is a very convenient place for a short getaway.

This site was a great location. Short stroll to a really pretty semi-private spot near the creek. Can sit and enjoy the trickles of the creek. To access your have to walk through our site. Bathrooms nearby. The large rock helped to give us some privacy. Only thing that was a bit of a bummer was the graffiti from other campers on the rocks. There should be a fine implemented for desecrating the campgrounds.

Had a totally enjoyable time here. The site had a somewhat secluded feeling, with a path leading to the creek. Close to restrooms and trash. Went during the week to avoid the weekend influx, so it was very quiet and relaxing.

Awesome campground. A creek runs through the area. Some flies during the day (when we went in May), but they cleared out during the night. Beautiful and peaceful location. Easy to check-in. Pit toilets, fairly clean

What a treat to live within a quarter tank of gas from this beautiful oasis. Have renamed it "Wheeler Gorgeous" ; also a brilliant place to scramble is only 25-30 minutes away in Piedra Blanca.

Great campground. Been there twice. Loved our site. River running through camp. Lots of trees. Good hiking . Hiked to rose falls. Will be back.

Campsite 40. Nice campsite with two large rocks nearby. Able to accommodate two 4 person tents. You can also hear the nearby stream flowing at night which makes it so great. Unfortunately, there was a weird smell that later turned out to smell the same as the nearby bathroom. We were met with a friendly lady on a golf cart in the morning as we were packing up asking how our experience was and to come visit again. That's great customer service!

No water(time of year)-No campfires(forest service restriction due to fires/covid)-Propane only-poison oak-no cell phone service-Bad bear and a pack of hungry raccoons. We loved it !!!-had a creek running through it-we played poker instead of watching a campfire-weather was great. Had a great time. We would definitely go there again---after everything calms down.
