Our group camped at site 54 and 56 with our rooftop tents. Site 54It is located at an intersection of one of the campground roads so it wasn't ideal to have headlights interrupting our fireside chats as campers drive in to the campground. Parking spur is relatively flat for a rooftop tent. Good set of trees for a hammock. Relatively close to vault toilets which were very clean. This site is not directly on the creek, but has easy access to it through site 55. Short walk to the nature trailhead just past site 39.Site 56Located right next to site 54 despite what the map shows. Parking spur is next to the dumpster and not ideal for a rooftop tent set up, but we made it work. The fire ring is up on a hill, secluded from other campers. Our group used the fire ring at this site as the main hangout and it was great fun. We brought our own wood and also purchased wood on site when we ran low. It was very convenient. The camp host is very easygoing. We drove by most sites before we left. Next time we'd want to reserve sites 38 and 39 if we're bringing a group of more than 4. Those sites are right next to the nature trail, however also close to the main road. Site 34 also seemed very secluded and great for a group of 4-6.

Very friendly Camp Hosts that would bring by firewood for sale to the campsites by golf cart every night. Fellow campers were respectful of nighttime noise rule. Clean well stocked vault restrooms.

The camp host was wonderful. Immediately took action when necessary. The campsites are spacious and provide both shade and sun for those who enjoy the rays. This is my home away from home campsite to stay at every year. Try the nature walk, its an interesting trail of woodsy to good old california desert chaparral.
