The campground is beautiful and very low key. Some of the sites are pretty close to the main road up the mountain so if you can you want to avoid those. The creek is really nice and pretty. And the hosts are wonderful, warm and helpful. We already booked another stay for next month.

I had an outstanding time at Wheeler Gorge! The hikes were very relaxed and beautiful! The visitors center was such a great experience getting to learn about all the different local birds and getting to experience them first hand! The camp hosts at the campground were so helpful and kind and I will definitely be returning!

Nice camping area, just be sure to get sites away from the road. Camp host Yvette was out of this world awesome, a great source of information and an awesome attitude.

We were in site 23. It was the worst campsite I’ve ever experienced. Literally ON the highway with cars speeding by all night. We almost left since if one of the kids walked 10 feet from our tent they would have been killed. No joke, the worst site I’d ever stayed at. Loud, unsafe, not a campsite .

Nice shady site, but noisy from the road because my site was too close.I had hard time to find the entrance initially.Hiking trail is very nice, half of trail is shady.
