If you're looking at an aerial photo, the sites are numbered counter-clockwise from the entrance, with #3 and #4 at the far end of the single loop. Some sites are suitable for decent-sized RVs, some are only suitable for tents, so choose carefully if you're driving an RV. The parking areas of the sites are not even remotely level so bring ramps or jacks.
The trail to Rose Valley Falls is next to site #4. This is a very popular trail with day use visitors so you might want to avoid that site if you don't want people walking past all day. On the other hand, it's a decently long site angled for easy back-in access.
The trail and road signage is damaged (the trail sign is completely illegible) and there's more graffiti than you might expect this far from civilization.
The single-occupancy pit toilet was clean and well-ventilated, and is convenient to all of the camping spaces. The door lock was non-functional, however.
The road in from CA-33 is paved, smooth, and mostly well maintained. There's one very rough spot right at the entrance to the campground, where a low-water river crossing has washed out. A normal passenger car shouldn't have any trouble, though, especially if you take it slowly; the bottom is still firm and presents no traction problems.
