Smallish campground (just one loop). Each generously-sized site has a fire pit, BBQ grill, and a tent platform. There's a short and well-maintained trail to Rose Valley Falls, which is well worth the trip. The scenery and stargazing are lovely. It can get pretty cold at night, even in the summer, due to the elevation. In the summer you can expect bugs during the day, but they go away at night. The low-water crossing at the campground entrance washed out at some point, and there's now a big gravel pit full of water instead. It's a few inches deep with a fairly steep approach. The bottom is solid so traction isn't a problem, but it's rough. Cars with low ground clearance might have issues. Highway 33 also still has several one-lane sections with long waits, due to storm damage in past years. The vault toilet was reasonably clean and well stocked with toilet paper, but could use attention in some other ways -- it's missing a window screen and hornets had built a nest on the ceiling. There's no real enforcement of the quiet hours or vehicle parking limits. Our first night there we got unlucky and there was a party going on until about 2 am. Our second night was more peaceful.

No water, very dirty toilet, more garbage than other places and very many flies that do not leave you alone. We left after one night.

Not much privacy but most of the sites are far enough apart that it's not a huge issue. Trashcans, moderately clean USFS bathroom, no water. Chilly!
