This camping spot has become our favorite over the years. Very quiet no loud people and very scenic. Unfortunately this time around we had a horrible host who was not friendly whatsoever. The morning after we arrived, I parked my car close to the campsite which looked like vehicles have previously parked there. He comes first thing in the morning telling me to move my car that I cant park there. I told him Id move it shortly after I pack my things up but he kept insisting I move it. After leaving we decided to park close to the day use area to enjoy the view by the river and here comes Mr Host being rude telling me I cant park there. I told him itll be 5 minutes but Mr host seem to get irritated with me and of course I with him. We decided to leave instead. Wed definitely come back but I hope that this camp ground gets another host.

Camping here was really good, away from everything, i stayed at site 17 was nice very spacious and lots of shade. It was right off the mountain side so it was nice waking up to see deers coming down to eat in the morning and at night. Also there are racoons living on the trees! They come down in the evening. Store your food , they ransacked our cooking area and stole my friend's tea bags. They also left their paw marks in our cars trying to get in! Smart dudes!. I also want to thank the camp host such a lovely human being. My whole group was delighted for her being so nice and caring for us. Thank you so much you made our experience at camp so enjoyable. Will definitely come back.

So much fun. At our campsite, it was very slanted, but still delightful. Tons of squirrels and tons of acorns. Gorgeous.

The camp ranger is a kick butt ranger who knows the place well.

She gave us a good run down on how to enjoy our stay.

There’s too much to do and we didn’t get to do it call because of we only had 3 days, I recommend a longer stay to ensure you lose all thoughts of home, and take in all this place has to offer.

I will come every year, this place has awesome campsites, and the ranger has your firewood. It’s well priced, and locally sourced.

5 out of 5 everytime.????

Jade did an excellent job of making us feel welcome and comfortable. Bathrooms were exceptionally clean for pit-toilets. We could tell she cared very much for the campground as a whole.

We arrived to some large groups, but folks filtered out throughout our 4 day stay. Other reviewers mentioned -10 deg from forecast, and I wanted to echo this. Pack warm, it gets chilly at night when the wind whips up.

The creek was clean and pretty, the trail was a little washed out / overgrown, but a few paths have been cut so we may have just wandered astray.

100% recommend, especially if you can get in on the off season. Watch the weather, rain will make getting in and out very difficult.

Thanks Jade, hope you enjoyed the Papaya!
