It was Epic. A blizzard came at us and laid down about 8 inches of snow over night. We survived.

This campsite was easy to find, has plenty of trees for shade, and is on the smaller side so it stays a little quieter. One side of the campground offers great views of the canyon below that is awesome for sunrise. The sites were cleaned and well maintained, as well as the bathrooms. Close to the markets and firewood in case you need anything. Would definitely camp here again.

Great location, bathroom were ok, no camphost, quiet campground, a little overpriced for the amenities and size of campsites.

We drove almost 4 hours to get to the campsite and were NOT informed (via call, text, OR email) that they had closed the campsite due to a fire that was 40 miles away. All we found was a handwritten note taped to the locked entrance gate. GREAT job on the part of your campsite employees and your central offices. I should send you a bill for our gas and time.THANKS FOR NOTHING!

Booked our reservation for the first week of August. We're at elevation so it does get hot in the daytime because of the sun but the temperatures drop down to the 40's in the evening. You will see your breath in the morning. We were at 19, Loop 1 and it was a pretty ideal spot. Close proximity to the outhouse, but not so close that you smell anything. Spot 19 isn't perfectly flat so our sleeping bags did slide through the night. The hiking trail is also a short 3 min walk away and the views are great. I just wish they had a running river/stream. Overall, great camping site that's close to LA but can still feel like a getaway.
