The camp host Carrie is extremely helpful. Carrie is one of the reason’s McGill campground so much. The McGill trail is a great to rife mountain bikes on.

We booked two sites. One was so small, I don't know if any sized tent would have fit. The host even told us "Yup, that's the worst site here". Cool because it was already paid for. So we stayed mostly at our second site which had an incredible view! There are great trails and the toilets are decent. In the day, the sites around us all had their music playing extremely loud but it didn't bother us as everyone was having fun and that's all that matters. We apparently were in the midst of a company's camping trip so every site around us was booked by them. There was only 4 people at our site. We relaxed in the day and at night started a fire. The second night there, we were finishing cooking dinner and apparently it was 12 minutes past "quiet time". I had a small bluetooth speaker playing but by no means was it loud as it was just 4 of us hanging out, cooking. At 12 minutes past the hour, we hear someone SCREAMING at us from the road. I stopped the music and the host was belligerently screaming at us saying that this was the "second time she warned us and if she has to again, she's calling the sheriff." No, we were not "warned" a first time as it had just turned 10:12 pm (perhaps she had spoken to another site??). I turned off the music right away, of course. We were all shaken up from this hysterical woman yelling and threatening us out of no where. 3 minutes later, she drove back to us and asked if we turned off the music...I said "Of course we did. You don't hear it, correct?". It was the most bizarre interaction I have ever had camping in my life. This woman was obviously the host but appeared unstable and intoxicated. I have never been spoken to like that in my life. I have 16 years in customer service and I couldn't IMAGINE speaking to a customer like that. We had planned to stay an additional night but was so off-put by this interaction and honestly didn't want to give them any more of our money so left early the next day and will never be back. Good Riddance.
