Gorgeous campsite with friendly and accommodating camp hosts! Facilities were clean and the adjacent hiking trail make this a perfect one night or 2 night trip. Bring plenty of water and enjoy the beautiful starry night! There is some cell service, so that may be a plus or negative if you are trying to disconnect. The campground is strictly monitored to make sure campers are safe and not taking unnecessary risks with camp fires, unleashed dogs, or loose food in this bear inhabited area. A great time for all levels of campers!

We paid $216 for two campsites and five cars in total. Despite the website stating six people with two cars per spot, the host refused to acknowledge this. We paid cash but received no proof of payment. When I requested a receipt, the host became hostile and the next day told us we were no longer welcome, claiming they had spoken to the sheriff. They refused to provide their names and ran away when asked. I have all of this on video. There's no live representative or place to file a complaint. Save your time and choose a different campground.

We had a good time camping at McGill last weekend! Weather was a lot cooler in the camp than in the cities, I recommend bringing stuff to stay warm at night. Site 63 was good for the most part- very spacious, far enough from nearby sites. Unfortunately the site was very sunny and hot most of the day from the morning until early afternoon, but we did see much shadier campsites as we walked around. The reason for the 4 stars is because many sites are very close together or dont have a ton of space for chairs or a hangout space. But the campsite was clean, great hikes nearby, loved the online reservation system, and the bathrooms were a plus (and always stocked with TP!). We did come face to face with a bear our first night which was intense! Stay alert and keep your food packed away at night. Overall, would recommend and we will definitely be back.

Beautiful, clean, quiet campground with plenty of space. There was a wedding at the group site and we could barely hear them. The interpretive trail was a nice, peaceful walk.We tried several times to buy wood from the camp hosts, but they were not available each time we went by.
