Went on a holiday weekend. Even though all the sites were sold out, you couldnt even tell. Our site, 78, was great. Spacious, plenty of room from the next site.

Beautiful , well maintained campground, very peaceful ( during week days at least) and very friendly hosts.

This campground was exactly what we were looking for. So peaceful and quiet and cool and beautiful. Lots of nearby, easy trails to hike. Beware many of the sites do not have flat areas to pitch a tent. Some of the sites (loop 1?) are a little close together for our taste, which is fine if that's what you like. The closer together sites had flatter ground, so probably better if you have kids and lots of equipment or want to meet your neighbors and have a chat or share a s'more. We had 2 dogs with us and wanted peace and quiet away from other people, so were able to get a site in Loop 4 where the sites are more spread out. The toilets are vault style and can get a little smelly, but they're fine. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring with an attached grill. The camp hosts, Kerri, Fred and Harry were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful, they keep the campground in order and are strict about quiet hours, which we very much appreciated. They drive around a few times a day and you can flag them down if you need to buy some extra wood. They even got us ice when we ran out! The pine trees are tall and gorgeous and add lovely cool shade. Kerri tipped us off that the sap smells like vanilla and butterscotch. Watch out for bears! We are looking forward to going back.
