Very nice camping stop with fire pit and grills/tables, only annoying part is a lot of cars go into your site unknowingly because the signage of reserved and do not enter is not obvious. Many of them came in fast and we had children present. We tried closing the gate and were told it wasnt allowed due to fire safety reasons. You also have a lot of randoms walking nearby or into your camping site due to the trail. They will leave the trail and walk straight through your camping area. Happened many times throughout our 3 day stay.

We love the group campsite at McGill camp ground. Theres a nice fire pit, grills for cooking and stone picnic tables. The kids love playing on the rocks and going on the nature hike. If you like mountain biking, theres a great single track trail. Also, if you go when theres no moon, you can drive another 3 miles to the top for some amazing star gazing.

Nice remote camping area with excellent hiking trails in and around. Lots of shade with all the trees.

Great campsite! Bring plenty of water & stow your food before the sun goes down to avoid attracting bears!

Group camp 1 was a beautiful location. Grounds were clean and lovely camp hosts. We had fair warning about a bear roaming around, so we took all precautions with trash and food. We still received a visit from the bear on morning of our departure. We made plenty of noise and bear kept on roaming. We were lucky to have cell phone reception. Only downer is no running water.

Carrie and Harry are great hosts. They even out up cones at our group site so cars wouldn't drive in and the kids could be safe. Mcgill group site 1 is the best site ever. Grills a prep table, big fire pit with benches and all the table are together. It's like an outdoor Hogwarts

Great hiking up the mountain, convenient access to the market down the mountain! Bring your own water, and expect it to get cold at night!
