Overall good experience here. Only problem was the smell of the toilets, next time will try to be upwind of them, will be easier once a map of the site is uploaded. It wasnt horrible but definitely nose wrinkling. Never used them ourselves, brought a Luggable Loo and some spare bags. Fair amount of trees for some of the sites and was able to set up a hammock between two of them at our site.

No cell service for Verizon and T-Mobile once rounding the last switchback made for a peaceful time.

Left for the day and went to Mt. Pinos for a hike, no issues upon return, site undisturbed.

No firewood available onsite, but you can get it at Mike's Pizza Company general store down the road from the Chuchupate ranger station. Lots of good stuff to buy as well, got some chips and dip on the way home.

Will definitely be back to the area for another Mt. Pinos hike.
