Great chill campground. Good for offloading basecamp.

The camp sites are nicely spread out, and the campground is in a very nice setting. It was very hot when we visited in July, and I could have done with more shade, but that was mostly due to the site I selected -- there were plenty of shady sites. There were some bugs but nothing I considered a problem.
The fire pits were very nice, new double-walled units with two grates.
The worst part of this campground was the vault toilets. I'm no stranger to primitive campsites and not easily put off, but these were old, dark (even during daylight), and inadequately ventilated. The ammonia smell inside was very strong, almost eye-watering.
The road in was heavily potholed, but nothing a typical passenger car couldn't handle if driven carefully.
