This is a pretty, compact campsite. As some of the other reviews note, it has few really level spots and the sites are small. The key spot is 5 (not 4 -- the signage is poor and the previous reviewer got the number wrong), but 7 and 10 are also good. I went middle of the week and had the place to myself. It is remote and there's not a lot going on around the camp itself. I was unable to do any day-hiking as my dog was recovering from surgery but it was an excellent place to sack out, relax, and read for a few days. A mile further south the road summits and there's a great open spot for star gazing. Big benefit - almost no poison oak at the camp, at least in early April. Tassajara Road up to the camp isn't as bad as it's made out to be. Easily done in a Forester and a few overnight hikers left a Ford Escort at a nearby trailhead.
