Good hospitality on behalf of the staff. I felt like their presence was just enough to feel safe and secure. The camp sites are beautiful and its nice to see so many families enjoying this gorgeous gem of an area. A little over 2 miles from the camp site is the gorge - absolutely gorgeous clear crisp water that you can jump and sunbathe in.

It's a good place to go camping with the family and has all the amenities. A beautiful place

Half of the bathrooms were out of order, which was not ideal. Some campsites were pretty much on top of others and noisy.

I have never been greeted as openly or warmly as I was by De as we entered the Park. She continued her friendly encounters and helpful tips throughout our stay. Lou also went above and beyond to be helpful to us. These Park Service personnel were a bonus, which is why I gave this a 5 star rating. I would give the campground itself a 4 star rating. The sites were clean and large. Because of little understory, they were open and not private if that is what you are looking for. The wildflowers at this time of year were magnificent. So many varieties and some flowers I was not familiar with. We took hikes and the upper river trail (I don't remember the name) could have used some maintenance. We were there during a cold, windy few days but enjoyed the quiet of the mostly empty campground. My only complaint is with campers themselves. Why the loud music through booming sound systems? It carries throughout the campground and not all people have the same taste in music. There are plenty of bluetooth options. Why not require this in campgrounds?Overall, we had a wonderful time!

The campground was clean, and well managed, with good spacing between sites. The scenery and river were amazing. Two of the showers were out of order, but the host reimbursed us for the quarters we lost. Great hikes near the campground, and good swimming areas. Be careful of ticks on the Rocky Creek Trail. My boyfriend found 7 ticks on his clothes in the first mile. We would definitely camp here again!

The campground was comfortable and had lovely sites. The river was fantastic - so beautiful! I loved the trails as well.

My biggest disappointment had to do with the reservation system. We planned on staying through the weekend and weren’t able to reserve weekend days as the system showed them as first come first serve. Once we were there, we found out this was a glitch - those days actually need to be reserved - and we had to leave early. Hope this gets sorted out!
