Its not Yosemite, its a little campground near a river access area. If you know that going in, youll have a good time. The river is lovely and this is a nice place to go to beat the heat. Mostly all local families around. Everyone, including camp hosts, are very friendly. Campsite had decent shade and was mostly level. A very quiet and relaxing place in late fall/early winter.

Camp was super clean and well maintained. Camp hosts were superb. They were friendly, competent, available, and very switched on. A great experience!

I understand that the camp was expecting a large crowd for the weekend, but- the workers, (there were 6 by our count), were running leaf blowers all around camp and on the roads all day. The sound of the ATV and leaf blowers made us feel like we were camped next to an airport!
And- we have been camping at Arroyo Seco since the late 1970's, before the "new" bathroom and showers. You pay for the shower, about $1.50 or more. Why is it not possible to have the shower water at a tolerable temperature? Is that impossible? Even 5 degrees warmer would have made the shower tolerable. Instead you had to take your shower while gasping for air to fight the cold.

You have got to get your water issues resolved. We have camped twice this year and the plumbing is still not available. While we have a travel trailer, it would be nice to be able to use the facilities and know we have a back-up supply of water if we need it. Love the campground. We feel safe. We like going down to the Arroyo Seco river as well.

didn't like that our camping site wasn't clean, the BBQ grill was full of charcoal. also, the restrooms had no toilet paper, no hand soap, and the hand dryer was out of order

Its a *very* popular campground. Weekends and holidays will be a bit noisy. Midweek, it cannot be beat. Wonderful Oak trees and Woodpeckers.Clean restrooms! Great Staff too.

Awesome place. Just wish the people visiting would pick up after themselves at the river.

I have been going to camp since the late 1970's. Been camping here since the new bathroom/showers were installed and Rocky Mountain Recreation was the concessionaire. We were there for 10 days in October and the showers NEVER worked and the host said he couldn't fix it! The water was almost all cold at one shower and almost all hot at the other. And this is IMPORTANT- all the years with Rocky Mountain Rec we never had to pay to park at trail heads as long as we were paying to camp. But now you pay $35 to camp and another $10 to simply park at the trail heads? I am writing the National Forest office in King City to get clarification because there is NOTHING on the board as you enter the camp that says you must pay an additional 10 bucks to use the trails you came to walk on! There is nothing that says that! But the camp host chases people around the camp area to track down anybody that parks at any of the 3 trail heads or the river day use area. I want you to email me with an explanation. This is the SECOND time you have asked for my review- do you read any of them? I doubt it.
