Quiet, small, along the gentle river. Came in July when it was 90+ outside but while in the trees it didn't feel like it. "Boat Ramp" is good for inflatables and kayaks for a starting off or ending point. Not much room for anything else by the time everyone is standing around. I found no other access to the water. The "river walk" is definitely all overgrown nature and some rattle snakes. The interpretive trail is about 1/2 mile long. Host doesn't stay in campground during the week (maybe) so couldn't ask any questions about other trails. No cell service period. A little bit of truck engine noise from the logging trucks.

Spot 19 has NO trees so therefore no shade. Perfect spot for any other time but July during a heatwave.

Wonderful campsite beside a sparkling river. Would be 5 star except for the dangerous left-hand turn into the campground on a blind corner in the road - you have to hope no-one is racing around the bend towards you.

Well-kept and clean. Limited hiking opportunities on site.

We got a tent site that was located at the edge of the Campground, along the river trail. It was very peaceful sleeping next to the river! We even saw a critter that we couldn't identify. It could have been an otter of something like it swimming up the river. We only spent one night during our trip, but I would love to be back there.

The campground was perfect, the river water was amazing and enjoyed some rain and thunder too. Loved how our kids could play in the shallow river all day, it was slow moving so that was perfect.

Just a beautiful example of what the national park service has to offer. The river was amazing and the deer visitors were a delight to share a drink on the river for us, almost on queue for breakfast.

The campground was okay, it happened to be 95 degrees with 1 "tree of heaven" for shade near our camp spot so we were glad for that.
Unfortunately next door campers come in very late and point their vehicles headlights right on our tent as we are sleeping while they setup a camp for 12....very annoying but certainly not a campground issue, just hoping morons like this read this and take note.

Wonderful visit to Tree of Heaven campground. The campground itself was well maintained and the restroom was clean and stocked with toilet paper. We went on the weekdays in mid June and it was very quiet. It seemed like everyone was asleep by 10pm. Really enjoyed walking on the self guided bird trail. Nice little swimming area to cool off as well. The River Trail is pretty nice but you can only walk it for about 15 mins before it gets to a point where it's overgrown. I'm not sure if this is always available but there were large fire logs available at no cost. You would need to bring an axe to get them into burnable size. Didn't see any ice for sale from the camp host but Yreka is not that far away if you're in a pinch. Trash and recycling bins available. I saw that they had bbq grills at each site, however a few, like the site we booked 019, were integrated into the fire ring and way to high to use charcoal briquets. The others we saw were free standing bbqs that charcoal would be no problem. There also is a highway above the campground and the semi's start around 6am and do engine brake so it got a little loud in the morning. Overall I would definitely recommend this campground for folks driving the I5 as an overnight or for people looking for a nice relaxing campground next to a river with water access, or rafters looking for a place to end their run as you can tie up in the swimming area/boat launch. Be advised that the river can get a little fast the farther you get from the shore so keep an eye on the kids.

I was at site 19 and there is no shade at all (super hot). The good thing is that you can swim in the klamath river (in the boat launch area) to cool off.
This campground is heaven for people like to do rafting. just launch the boat from camp and get picked up from other river accesses down the river.
There are a lot of black berry bushes for pick up as well.

Stayed in site 19 beautiful river view, private. If you visit when it’s hot site has no shade. Our 5th wheel became an easy bake oven. Very nice camp ground on the Klamath River, chose a site with shade.
