Beautiful view but a little tricky to find a good level spot for a tent. Campground name lives up, the sunsets were breathtaking!

We were at sites 55 and 56 which were along the back of the campground, a spectacular place to watch the sunset! We also appreciated the ability to walk to the General Grant Grove trails right from the campground. Also found the information at the visitors center (also walkable) helpful and at the suggestion of a ranger there, we drove down to Sequoia and General Sherman Tree parking and walked from there down to Moro Rock (6 miles or so) and then used the shuttle system to get back to up to the parking area. We walked among the sequoias, along a ridge looking out over the canyon to the high sierras and then climbed Moro rock for the final hurrah! It was truly a breathtaking experience.

Our campsite was a beautiful campsite with a great view. There was not any shape during the day, however, so it did get a bit warm as we didnt have a canopy. The bathrooms were well maintained and close to our site. This was our first time camping here, but certainly wont be our last!

Love the view from this camp site! One of the few spots that get phone service!

We stayed at #55 for one night. The site was spacious with a big table and a fire ring. We arrived after sunset and saw lots of stars and pretty city lights. The view might be more beautiful during sunset. The restroom with flush toilet was not far but no shower rooms. The only downside of the campsite was that it was on a slope. I didn't sleep well because my sleeping bag was keeping sliding down.

Love this campground! Minutes away from the village with a restaurant, market, gift shop, and visitor center. Its the perfect spot between Kings Canyon and Sequoia, about an hour to the end of each park. There are no showers here and the bathroom did not have soap, so bring your own? The sites are a little bit close together (55 and 56 share a parking space as did many other sites) though every site does have its own bear box. We had LTE with ATT and cell service for Verizon which was a nice surprise! Never saw a staff member here and went directly to our site so come prepared with your reservation info.
