Beautiful sunset, but several camping neighbors were very loud past quiet hours

We didnt expect the campground to be full of campers but we remembered it was summer and we arrived there on Friday so it made sense why there was a lot of noise. I thought each campsite gets their own individual parking spot but no. We got stuck with sharing our parking spot with a campsite next to us. Read carefully through the campsite info if you dont want to share a parking spot. Also try to figure out if the campsite is on a hill. From driving around the campground, almost the entire campground is on an incline. We had no choice but to set up camp on an incline. Because of that we didnt sleep too good. The only thing we didnt like was that someone or a group of people trespassed onto our site and used our hammock when we werent there. My boyfriend got near our hammock and noticed a cigarette bud and 3 empty cans of soda on the floor. Out of all the times Ive gone camping, that has never happened to me. Beware of crowded campgrounds and read carefully through campsite info.

Nice campground with some amazing views! It is aptly names as the sunset is gorgeous here! You are really close to Grant Grove here so convenience isn't too far away especially if you forgot something on your way up. We also had decent cell service with Verizon here, not too good to do a lot of streaming but plenty to look things up, use maps, etc. My main reason for three stars and not more is a lot of the campsites are not flat or have a very little flat area for your tent, or that all the flat spots are taken really fast. Also this campground does have campsites right on top of each other so if you are looking for more space to spread out this may not be the campground for you unless you are reserving more than one spot next to each other.

Like the location but wish the campsites were a little bigger and flatter and not so on top of each other. Got 2 sites, 1 had some shade, the other none at all. Beware on a holiday weekend, the whole national park will be sold out of ice. Had to drive to Squaw valley to get ice.
