We have missed camping since Covid hit and we purchased our new camper in 2020 and this was the first time using it. Since our last camping trip to this campground there is a new park manager and I have to say that she is absolutely a breath of fresh air to the campground. She not only cares about the appearance of the grounds, which was the best it has looked in the 30 plus years I have camped at Northfork, she also gave my granddaughters and other children crafting items to paint or color which she supplied everything. It would be nice to have a pavilion on the grounds maybe around the playground where kids can go at certain times for crafting, karaoke, or maybe even a movie night with popcorn, which a nice popcorn machine is inexpensive. She would be so good at that and it would give everyone a chance to meet new people and plan return visits! I have always loved camping and I think it would a great way to get children off the phones and socialize with others and enjoy the beauty of nature and the outdoors. Campers are a whole different group of people that are caring and willing to offer you help if you need it! In a world of such hatred, its nice to relax and enjoy nature and sitting by the campfire. All this said, We will continue to only camp at northfork A008 for years to come!
