Michigan Valley Campground in Osage County is located 47 min southwest of Lawrence, KS with an elevation of 1,062 feet. There are a total of 80 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of October. 77 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 25 and 114 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 51 sites have electric and water hookups. 3 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $14.00 to $60.00. Some amenities include shower, playground, swimming, marina. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

Stayed 6 days. Quiet, and friendly. Bathrooms were clean and we used the laundry room. Rangers were friendly.

The shelter was clean when we arrived. We filled all 3 trash cans during our church picnic and I noticed they were all emptied by the next day. Thank you for a great place to gather!PS This year and last year we had to deal with wasps in the big slide. We sprayed them after a child was stung. It is possible to keep a check on that so no one else gets stung?

Michigan Valley is a nice and well kept campground. We have camped there before and came back because of prior positive experiences and proximity to our home.Unfortunately, this camping trip included a couple of twists. First, our reserved campsite was taken when we arrived. The hosts were aware of the situation before we arrived and asked us to take a campsite four spaces from our reserved spot in order to avoid having one, or more, campers having to break down and move to their correct campsites. We honored the host's request and changed campsites.Second, someone decided that they needed our water cooler, charcoal chimney and ash shovel more than we did. Michigan Valley is located adjacent to Pomona Lake and there are people who pass through the campground in order to go fishing who are not registered nor required to pay a fee. We do not know if a person passing through the campground or if another camper felt the need to take our items. Point is, be cognizant of the potential for theft at Michigan Valley. Not a reason to stay away. Just be mindful.

Nice camp ground, they need to upgrade the washout hose at dump station that will allow you to attach a garden hose to washout your black tank on the newer campers

This may have become my family's new favorite place in Kansas to camp. The campsite is well maintained, lots of grassy areas, fairly close to the water and the beach swim area. FYI - the cell service for T-mobile is spotty at best.

Our favorite lake to camp at, however our slides got so many acorns from the tree that it was hard to get them off our slides, otherwisegreat as usual, even in the rain, thank you for your park.

These people running this campground want you there. They understand they need campers. They do a great job taking care of this campground. We live close to Petit Bay at Tenkiller and theres no comparison. The maintenance and facilities have really gone downhill at Petit Bay. It doesnt do any good to suggest anything to the people at the main office. Even safety related things. Hard to understand why theres that much difference in the two campgrounds. Kansas absolutely does a much better job. Everything there worked and was in great condition. People were so friendly. Thank you so much.

This is a great campground. The park hosts are friendly and helpful. I noticed the grounds crew coming around picking up limbs and trash. Very clean park. Wife and I used the shower facility on a Sunday night. Very clean. Will stay here again.

Very nice campsite! Clean, well mowed, showers were very clean with almost no bugs (which is impressive with the amount of junebugs out currently!)
