Site #25 is a level asphalt pull through with a wonderfully private camp site. Cell service is not very good. The trails are in good shape and extensive. Our mapping program (we approached from the north) took us down a gravel road that was quite dusty. Next time we will drive into Cherryvale, staying on asphalt the entire way.

A very nice campgrounds with many choices! Riverside or Lakeside. Large sites with nice space between each one. Water and electric. I would definitely stay again !

Late season camping was very nice.

The site was large and fairly flat with shade. Access into backin was easy. Sites were spaced out well, lots of trees and close to river. Water and electric worked great. Needed the AC as it was over 100F. Beautiful area with interesting drives through NF land and Mushroom Rock State Park nearby.

The road into the campground ends with an unexpected short, steep curve. We stayed in site #5 which is nice and roomy but site #4's picnic table was directly outside our back window. There are 4 coed showers which are great! The campground has lots of beautiful trees and is very spacious. Our fellow campers were all very friendly!

The campground and campsite were far below the condition we were expecting. Our site, along with several others had no site numbers on them, so we had to count and assume we were pulling in to the correct site. There were multiple dogs off leash, and people camping under a tarp stretched across between trees. Overall the vibe was one of destitution rather than state park camping. This was our next to last night of an 11 night RV trip, all stays in State Parks. This one disappointed, and we ended up travelling to a KOA for the night.

This was a quick stop, one night, so I dont have much to recommend. I do wish directions through the campground were made more clear. We pulled in 10 min after the ranger station closed and 50 min before a campground host became available. We drove around in circles, and theres a lot of loops and different campgrounds. Otherwise it was quiet since we were there off season. Lots of space between sites. And we saw a few deer.
