We are first time campers this year. we have driven around lake wilson many times to decide on a camping spot and loved the trees and camping area of sylvan park. learned many things this year about the lake and campgrounds. the corp of engineers was very helpful with explaining the lifetime senior pass and the differences between the state side and federal side of the lake. the couple that is in charge of the sylvan park were very nice in explaining the way the campground is managed. thank you all in helping us with a very enjoyable camping season and we will be back next year!!!! I pulled in towards evening after a full day of driving and was greeted by the campground host who expressed relief that I had made it. I felt most welcome.

My site was beautiful. It was shady and spacious. The bathhouse was clean and functioning.

I took a short trip over to Wilson to see the world’s largest Czech egg and strolled around the town. The lake looked inviting, and there were many people enjoying it with boats, kayaks and skidoos.
