Host family friendly and helpful. Restrooms were clean. Sites were well maintained and space between sites was adequate. No complaints. We will be back.

Beautiful area with spacious camp sites. Very clean pit toilets, no odors. Friendly camp hosts.

This is a beautiful campground and plenty of things to do from hiking to fishing or just relaxing. We loved hearing the train at night as well as the elk bugling all night. It was very peaceful and serene. Camp hosts were incredibly kind and helpful yet let us enjoy our stay. Very clean facilities.

Everything was spot on perfect from the night we checked in except the fire pit. We weren’t able to maintain a good fire even during the dismal on and off rains because the pit was full off trash, ash and it gave no breathing room for our fires to get started. If it had not been for that I would have supplied full stars

The drive in was a gravel road. Nothing intense unless you are perhaps in your Porsche or bike with training wheels.
When we got to camp Friday morning all FF spots that were available 2 days before were taken. Good thing we reserved spot 49 weeks prior just in case. We were concerned our 2 SUVS and enclosed trailer were going to be too much (they were) but we were able to park the trailer in the lot by the lake no problem. It actually worked out well because we kept our kayaks and fishing poles in there nice and close to the water. Not everyone could do that because there were only about 15 spots, but the hosts wanted to accommodate us.
The lake is about 2.5 miles around. Made for a nice little walk with the kids. We caught several fish the few days we were there. We watched cranes and bald eagles fish. The lake got pretty busy with fishermen spread out along the edge on Saturday.
The camp was clean, the hosts came by often and you could buy wood from them that they would deliver to your camp using a little cart. Make sure you have cash.
49 was directly across from the bathrooms. Not exactly ideal, but it’s all we could get. They were impeccable Friday. Odorless and spotless. By Sunday morning I debated just hiding behind a tree - it smelled so so bad and had ran out of toilet paper (make sure to bring some).

I liked how well spaced the sites were. We used the tent pad to put out another table and had plenty of space to pitch 2 tents without feeling like we were going into neighbors spaces at all. Some sites have longer crescent shaped driveways you could fit 5 cars in and others you can barely squeeze 2. (49 was a smaller “driveway”)
The train can be heard through the night. It never woke us from a dead sleep, but was loud and clear when you were awake.
The camp has nice huge trees everywhere providing plenty of shady areas throughout the day.
You are super close to Williams so forgetting anything isn’t something worth stressing.
