No hand sanitizer in pit toilet. A non-paying camper sandwiched between our van and another. Nice people but a bit awkward. Beautiful scenery, will likely visit again. I know the Park Service is short staffed , so my comments arent deal killers. We appreciate your service to our treasured parks. Thanks!

We really loved this campground! Great access to the park and much smaller than most other j-tree sites

This place was great. The scenery was amazing. The only thing that bothered me, which isn't necessarily anyone's fault, was the amount of hornets/wasps/etc. I dont know if there is a way for anyone to take care of the nests. The first spot we had reserved was so bad with hornets and wasps that I went to the gate and they were able to move us to another spot because someone had cancelled at the last minute. So I consider myself very lucky. I had been stung a few days before and had a bad reaction and I didn't want to risk it. If you are allergic, I recommend bringing an epi pen and being very careful. We set out a dish with water and that helped because they all just went there and didn't bother us as much. Other than that, the site was great. It was private and secluded. We had shade with the large boulders. The night sky was amazing. We did see a coyote walk by our site very close right after quite hours and then around midnight we heard a bunch of them howling. It was pretty neat but I can imagine being concerned if you are out and about or tent camping. We were camping in the back of a truck so we felt safe being enclosed and elevated. Definitely clean up before going to bed to avoid any issues. Overall great campground and would stay again. I had ATT, boyfriend had T mobile and we had a Verizon hotspot and had zero service unless we drove quite a ways out.
