Many sites were booked but empty. Shame that there isnt better management of no-shows by the park.

Campsite #123 should be removed. There is no privacy from the general public walking by for day use and it is down wind from the pit toilet. Also refrain from saying 6 people fit on it. It’s crowded and absurd to allow more than 2 people in a tiny tent to sleep there. Jumbo Rocks is crowded. You should remove any camp site that bump up into the toilets or at least create some privacy by putting a parking spot as a buffer. Terrible terrible idea to have reserved this spot and now I realize why it was one of the last ones available. Also the mix of huge trailers with people in tent camping is obnoxious. Those trailers take up so much space not only parking but just in general. The National Park should really create a space just for trailer campers. I will most likely never camp at Jumbo Rock again. Also on both early hour mornings at the crack of dawn, day use people very loudly walked around and slammed car doors and had full on loud conversations. I know we can’t change the way the public behaves but some larger quiet time signs would be great. I love Joshua Tree and I have been camping there since before it’s National Park designation and it’s just gotten worse or people have gotten worse 😞.

The iconic Jumbo Rocks Campground in JT national park. I had a pleasant experience as my first time here. Probably the most popular campground in the park

Very quiet and dark campground. No services so you can enjoy the off grid experience.

Campsite 123 is way too small for a four person tent. In order to have any privacy at all, our rain fly was necessary which we literally has to attach to the fire pit....therefore no campfire that night. Super frustrating. Toilet was a mess. Broken seat, messy, and hadn't been cleaned in a while it appeared.

Park Rangers are so kind and helpful. The actual campsite is too small. It's impossible to have a fire because it would burn the tent at this particular site.

This place exceeded expectations. It definitely lives up to the name of the campground. Huge rocks that seem like they are out of a cartoon. The wife and I can not wait to come back to explore more.
