Camping at Jumbo Rocks Campground is an amazing experience. The campsites have firepits and BBQ Pits, the restrooms are clean and well-maintained, and the scenery is spectacular.

Nice spot to camp! While not an incredibly spacious spot, it still had plenty of room for our large tent. Fire ring and table were nice as well. The spot felt secluded amongst the rocks and was easy to find.

Great spot, perfect for sunrises and sunsets over the rocks, camp spot is big, no cell service but so much to see and skull rock hike is nearby. We used our ebikes to get around to most attractions.

Beautiful, well maintained campsite with great scrambling within walking distance. Spend a day here without finding parking elsewhere in the park. Highly recommended

If you are looking for a private camp spot, this isnt it. The campsite next to us was so close I felt like I was apart of their fire pit conversation. You can hear most of the campsites around you. Not private at all.

We came on a new moon night in September. We booked campsite #118 & #121 as soon as reservations opened on Recreation. The campsites are back to back, basically an island to ourselves, with large surrounding rocks for shade during the morning on campsite #121 and then in the evenings at #118. We had three cars and opted to park all three on the #121 side and used all the space in #118 to set up our tents (two 6P and a 4P tent). There's a secluded rock cove tucked away at the corner of the campsite where we put another 2P tent (absolutely loved it). We fit two canopies at site #121. Clear skies, 95 daytime, 65 at night. We did several hikes close by at sunrise and sunset, all walkable from the campsite or within a 10m drive. Many of the campsites didn't have any shade to speak of or were very small. There was a vault bathroom within close walking distance throughout the campgrounds. The rangers came by each morning. Highly recommend these two sites and the campground. Great location, zero reception, and the stores are 30m away if anything is needed. We saw so many shooting stars across the Milky Way. Very beautiful.Notes: The moth caterpillars liked climbing the tents and in between the tarps for warmth. So did the occasional furry spider, so be cautious when cleaning. The bathroom near by may smell for a few minutes during the day, but otherwise not at all noticeable and far enough not to notice the foot traffic. Skull Rock and Jumbo Rocks were easy to hike to and climb.

Site was nicely set apart form the one right next to us. Silly time of year to go as was VERY hot. Cheated on the generator hours since no one was around. Amazingly clean, but then not very much human activity. Planning on going again but a different time of year.

Site 121 butts up to Site 118; somewhat limited privacy. We were able to squeeze a 14' x 10' tent, left access to only one of the tent doors as others were up against rocks. Bathrooms close by, but not too close where traffic is an issue. Overall a great site and campground, definitely returning.

We love this campground! First time at this one but we’ve stayed in others at JT. We only stayed one night. Great boon docking, spaces private, night sky gorgeous. We did not use their facilities as we are in a class A motorhome, but we appreciated the available trash bins and recycling. Definitely will return!

We enjoyed our stay at Jumbo Rocks, and exploring other areas of the National Park like Hidden Valley, Ryan Mountain, and the Cholla Cactus Garden. We made sure that we read all the need to know information like making sure the length of our trailer would fit in the appropriate camp site. We also brought in all the water that we would need for the trip and made sure that we had enough gas in the SUV to get in and out of the park since there is no water at the campsites or gas stations within the park. By being well prepared we were able to enjoy the trip without any issues. The Volunteer Host at Jumbo Rocks (Steve), was very kind and helpful.
