This campground was simply stunning. Sites were nestled among the rock features that afforded a level of privacy that can be hard to find at a campground this large. Rock features were accessible to scramble on and get great views of the sunrises and sunsets.

Incredible site. Tons of space and privacy. Arguably the best site at Jumbo Rocks.

Nice Campground close to the North-east entrance in 29 palms. The sites are very different and some are really small, but most of them have nice boulders all around them which give a little privacy and shadow. Restrooms are full of bees and no running water, but what else can you expect in a desert. Nice hikes nearby, enjoyed our stay very much!

We loved this campground! The rocks were so much fun to play on after a day in the park. Beautiful sunsets right from the campground.

Great spot and absolutely beautiful

Beautiful campground. Site 120 was secluded and private and surrounded by rocks. Close to Skull Rock trail which was gorgeous at sunset. Terrible wind that blew all night long and made tent sleeping challenging - but that's JT for you.

One of our favorite campgrounds. Fantastic stargazing. Peaceful and quiet. Beautiful campsites.

Jumbo Rocks was great. Doing my initial research, it looked like there were only 2 toilets for the whole campground; in reality, there were many more and you're never more than a 1- or 2-minute walk away. The only negatives were some obnoxious girls whose voices carried over from at least 200 feet away; and my neighbors who had at least 6 people in one spot, talked until after 1 a.m. and had some kind of laser light show going on. I wish people would respect other campers who want to enjoy nature, watch the stars and listen to the crackling campfire without other voices or lights intruding.

We lucked into the best spot in the campground. Secluded by giant boulders from the rest of the campsites. First time in the park. what an amazing experience. We will definitely be back. Clean and well organized.

Great campsite. Lot of unoccupied campsites even though park showed full. Apparently, campers are making reservations and not showing up. Should be a way to alleviate this problem for those who wish to camp.

Wonderful camp ground to visit. Beautiful scenery around, the jumbo rocks are beautiful during the day and at night. The best part for me was no service! It was a great way to disconnect and plug into the earth around me.

Great campground! Lots of walking and hiking right from the campground. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets over the rocks.

Why so many empty campsites when the online reservation calendar was full? How about having a confirmation system so that unused campsites become available if there's a cancellation?

Gorgeous campground and clean vault toilet bathrooms. A little inconvenient that there is no water, but doable.
@SarahC563 · Camped on May 30, 2021 at Campsite #120
Awesome campsite. Incredible views, kids can climb around on rocks right at campground, easy hike to Skull Rock. 100 degrees and still awesome. Bathrooms apparently rough (pit toilets) but we were in an RV so didn't care. Check your sites - some great for groups, some quite small, some isolated, etc.

Camp spot stolen. I have a truck camper and did not want to leave chairs and coolers (ti mark site) to be stolen. Tagged a spot and left for a hike. Came back to another camper in my spot. Found a close by "open" spot. Made camp. Campers with print out of reservations camp to claim their spot. Moved to a tent area and finally slept. The host knocked in the morning and mentioned that site theft if a problem. Thanks.
Next time-
Reserve before you get there. Print it out. The host is in the very last loop of the campground.
