Stayed in spot 117 and it was awesome! Its a tight squeeze though. Anything larger than my 2 person tent wouldnt fit.

Great site and great park! All paved, easy walk to Jumbo Rocks and Skull Rock. Our 25 foot RV fit perfectly, this site is more private than most.

Beautiful campground between boulders and trees. Site n. 117 not to much shade, no barbecue but close to restrooms.

Great place but kinda cold at night the time we were there? Still the most amazing star gazing I've ever done. Highly recommend

Nice campground with large rocks to explore and quick access to trails to places like skull rock. Night sky is great for stargazing and catching a few shooting stars. Enjoyed seeing all the educational signage alone the hikes and learning about all the aspects of the park.

Site 117 is by far my favorite campground. The only downside I would suggest is that it is in close proximity to the vault toilets, which smell. I think the best part of site 117 is that it is far from other sides, giving you a sense of seclusion.

Site 117 was a wonderful site for me. I slept in my 4Runner. There isnt much space at all for a tent but the ground is perfectly level for any rig. This site is near a bathroom and I did smell it a couple times but nothing serious. The site is backed up to rocks that you can climb on & there is actually a spot in the rocks that you could put a tent (maybe 3 person tent). This could be a cool experience if youre able to climb up & down. Its maybe 5-10 feet above the site itself. 117 is right on a corner so you dont have anybody on either side of you or in front. Theres some bushes to aid in some privacy which is a bonus. I did have my firewood taken while I was out for the day.. maybe whoever it was thought I had left for good because I didnt leave anything else. Not sure but it was definitely a bummer after arriving back after a long day. This site and campground was really lovely

Great campground with very clean toilet. Sunset with the Joshua trees in the foreground is delightful!

Had spot 117. If you have a tent larger than 4 person, this is a TIGHT fit. This spot is honestly best for 1-2 person tents or RVs/camper vans. The sight was a bit windy & with little protection, we opted to take the fly off the tent. It minimized the noise & we slept right under the unbelievable stars each night! I also recommend bringing a shade for your spot. The sun can be brutal in the afternoons. If you want to be able to just chill at the sight during the day and take a break, make sure you have a sun shade. All in all, this campground was solid.

Stayed at site 117. I was aware from online description that the site did not recommend tent use, but even for a camping vehicle its a small space. (The only reason for the 4/5 star rating) Otherwise, clean facilities; good location; easy in/out; great, friendly rangers! Mostly, I prefer the lower fire rings here compared to the taller ones at Belle Campground.
